Settling your final account doesn’t need to be an onerous task? But, of course, it can be: so how can we help? Presenting a final account in a way which facilitates settlement is a good start. Being on top of the facts to support claim items and justification for costs incurred also helps. If you are the paymaster, you may know what to look for in a bogus claim but should you simply reject the claim, should you work with the claimant to establish entitlement or run a middle course?
